Of chocolate shocks and muggings

Hi everyone,
I know I haven't exactly been faithfully updating my Blog, but here's something new.
My courses are now all running, and some of them are even fun. Sadly, I won't be able to come home before Christmas. I finished up my language course last week and past pretty well, and now I'm out looking for a job.
On the weekends, my friends and I always try do something: we went to the Egyptian Museum (supposedly one of the best in the world), the Basilika di Superga and on a chocolate tour. In between we go for walks, trying to see as many of the cities sights as possible, meet for dinner and go out for Aperitivo.
Last week I made lasagna at my place. It was my first try, but even some of the Italiens said it was one of the best they'd ever had :-)
On Saturday, we got some chocolate passes with which you can go to chocolateries all over town and pick up samples. We shared two passes between five people, and at the ende of the day all of us had chocolate shocks. I couldn't even look at chocolate for several days.
The next shock came on tuesday: the university paper wrote, that two ERASMUS students had been mugged on sunday night. Later that day I found out, I knew those guys, one of them had been with us on Saturday! Luckily nothing bad happend, except for lost cell phones, credit card, and a little cash. It happpend on the other side of town, far away from where I live, but the area isn't known to be that bad. The boys moved immediately, to same part of town where I live. It's a bit further to University, but a lot safer.
Now on to nicer things: Halloween is coming up this weekend, and tonight already the first Halloween partys are being thrown. The most sought after is the Thriller party in honor of the King of Pop. I'll have to see what with my limited wardrobe I can come up with for a costume.
Following now finally, the long awaited pics.
BYE, Marion
